About us

The Forum for Responsible Internationalization and Research Security is an independent international knowledge and dialogue platform aiming to: ​

  • Advance conceptual and empirical knowledge of international collaboration in research and innovation, and research security.

  • Facilitate dialogue and co-creation of good practices with stakeholders for responsible internationalization and research security.

  • Provide training and education in order to raise knowledge and capabilities in the higher education, research and innovation sectors.

 

The Forum engages a broad network of researchers from various disciplinary fields, practitioners and policymakers to co-create conceptual and empirical knowledge of international collaboration in research and innovation, and research security. Our backgrounds and expertise include areas such as:

  • Social sciences, engineering, natural sciences, humanities, and medicine.

  • Innovation and technology management, research policy, higher education, funding, and research administration.

  • Science diplomacy, international and intellectual property law, and international relations.

  • National security, intelligence, and risk assessment.   

Through research, training and education, and advisory services, we seek to raise the knowledge, capabilities, and skills of researchers, teachers, administrators, leaders, managers, and policymakers.
